Where There is Light • Tamara Shogaolu

POPKRAFT is proud to have collaborated with Ado Ato Pictures on the transformative project Where There Is Light, envisioned by artist Tamara Shogaolu. Inspired by the Panamanian rainforest and the practice of forest bathing, this interactive installation bridges mental wellness with nature through immersive technology. You'd find yourself in a lush jungle in one of the most historically rich locations the city has to offer: the Westerkerk.

Our role involved realizing the project's vision, focusing on the technical setup and the creation of a physical environment that mirrors the lushness of a tropical rainforest. The biggest challenge was handcrafting a large variety of tropical plant and moss structures, enveloping the space in greenery and bringing the essence of the rainforest to life.
